Getting access (Open data)

All datasets at data.entur.no are open to be queried by any account. If you do not already use GCP, you can use BigQuery's free tier, also known as their sandbox. The free tier includes 1 TB of processed queries per month.

When querying any of our open datasets, make sure you are querying our data from your project (make sure your project is selected in the top left project picker.)

Set a star on our project to more easily browse to it.

Getting access (Closed data)

To access closed data, you must have a right to access the given data. We strive towards having data as open as possible, and as closed as necessary. Contact us for more information.

Create a Google Account with your workmail

If we are to give you access to a closed dataset, we avoid giving out access to personal accounts. Follow this link to create a Google Account with your work email: Create a Google Account

Note: If you receive a message that 'this email is already in use, then your work email is already connected to a Google Account and you can login here: Log in to your Google-account.

BigQuery Documentation

Pulling data from BigQuery

Most integration platforms have connectors to use BigQuery as a "source".

See for example docs on how to use BQ as a sink in Azure Data Factory (ADF).

When using ADF, Entur only supports Serivce Authentication with a GCP Service Account. In ADF, this requires a Self-hosted Integration Runtime. Our recommendation depends on your setup. BigQuery's API's are extensive. While using integration platforms require less maintenance, they are also less flexible.
